THE CHILDREN’S EDUCATION ROOM at the CL&P’s SmartLiving Center is designed to help children ages 7-12 learn about energy conservation, power consumption and everyday energy applications. Each area is a learning unit with educational materials and lesson plans. All the elements were constructed with cleanable surfaces, bright colors, interesting images and durable components. The center puzzle has removable panels with answers to the questions above. The SmartLiving House has doors beneath each shutter with energy questions and answers. Interior lighting shines through the windows when the correct answers are given.
